Berry Head Hotel, Brixham
The Berry Head Hotel is a beautiful family run venue in a truly fabulous setting with views right across Torbay. The owners and staff are first rate and always willing to help. The food and service are excellent and the Mulberry Suite is licensed for civil ceremonies and has a private patio area ideal for hog roasts or drinks on a summers evening. There are also plenty of great photo opportunities. I am proud to be a preferred supplier to this fabulous venue. My wife Maria and I chose this venue for our own wedding in 2012.
Bickley Mill Inn
At the Bickley Mill Inn, the Millers room is fully licenced for entertainment and can cater for 80 to 100 guests in the evening. The Millers room can to sit up to 86 guests on round tables and be able to cater up to 130 guests for the evening function. There is a large decking area right outside with an awning they have a great reputation for both the food and service and it is always a pleasure to play here.
The Boringdon Park Golf Club is a modern facility with a very flexible room which can be altered in size to accommodate up to 400 seated and 600 standing. The suite has a balcony which looks out over the Tamar estuary towards the sea. The main building is surrounded by 200 acres of countryside and features an 18th Century triumphal arch which is ideal for wedding photographs. The staff and management are really helpful the food is first rate as well.
Dartington Hall is a spectacular setting for a wedding celebration, civil marriage or partnership, the building is what most brides dreams are made of. A really old building with fabulous architectural features – it really does have the “wow” factor. I can transform it with my uplighting. The grounds provide a stunning backdrop for photographs and the area behind the Great Hall is ideal for relaxing in the afternoon if you’re having an all-day celebration. The catering is first class with very friendly staff who are always willing to help. In my opinion one of the very best venues in Devon.
Deer Park Country Hotel
The Deer Park Country Hotel is a luxury country house hotel set in 80 acres of grounds with stunning views and lovely photo opportunities. This beautifully presented 18th Century Georgian House near Exeter is licensed for civil ceremonies and is perfectly suited for exclusive use weddings. The staff are first rate – very helpful and attentive and nothing is too much trouble, with delicious food it’s a fabulous wedding venue.
The Elfordleigh Hotel is in a lovely setting surrounded by parkland and a golf course. Civil wedding ceremonies can be performed in either Churchill’s Conservatory or The Reynolds Suite, the latter is a long L-shaped room with pretty decoration in pink and white. A massive patio area is adjacent which is ideal in fine weather for drinks receptions etc. A really nice venue with great facilities.
Imperial Hotel, Torquay
The Imperial Hotel, Torquay. The Torbay Suite is the largest available function room at this hotel and caters for up to 350 for an evening reception or prom. It has a large balcony overlooking the sweep of Torbay, with comfortable seating and the facility to host a BBQ or hog roast in the evening or a live band in the afternoon which can be very pleasant. A nice airy suite with high ceilings and pillars. Ideal for uplighting, There are five other function suits of various sizes catering from 10 to 300 guests. The staff are always willing to help and the food & service are exactly what you would expect from a top 4-star hotel.
Langdon Court Hotel
Langdon Court Hotel is a lovely boutique country house set in stunning grounds. The house and gardens provide a great backdrop for any celebration especially weddings. The food is great, the staff are wonderful and the building is really pretty and full of charm.
Langstone Cliff, Dawlish
The Langstone Cliff is a great hotel in a lovely setting by the sea so ideal for weddings as the happy couple can walk down to the beach for photos. The hotel is approved for Civil Marriages and The Washington Ballroom is a very large well-appointed function room with a beautiful sprung strip maple dance floor looks great with my uplighting.
Lewtrenchard Manor is a stunning country house hotel set in magnificent grounds, now back in the safe hands of the Murray family. A venue which is ideal for a great wedding party. The ballroom is truly elegant with gilded plasterwork on a fabulous fireplace. If you are planning a larger event you may have a marquee on the croquet lawn. Civil ceremonies can be held in four rooms in my opinion one of the best venues in Devon. I am proud to be a preferred supplier to this fabulous venue.
Livermead Cliff Hotel, Torquay
The Livermead Cliff Hotel is a superb location right on by the sea with great views of Torbay. They hold a civil ceremony licence. You are able to have your ceremony in the stylish Riviera Suite, or outside in the Gazebo. The room is a large modern function suite with plenty of doors to allow one to enjoy the outside areas.
Some of the very best weddings are held in marquees they can offer a great blank canvas so you can put your colour’s and decorations in place, they work particularly well with my uplighting as being a white or cream colour the LED lights really stand out. You may have LED uplighting set to one colour during the day or gently scrolling between two and later on for the evening dancing the whole marquee can be jumping to the beat of the music. I do insist on a completely dry level set up area and power must be full mains voltage and a clean supply. I can liaise with your marquee company to ensure all is well on your big day.
Mount Egdecombe - The Orangery
Mount Edgcumbe House is one of the most beautiful venues the South West has to offer, with over 500 years of history. Set in beautiful grounds overlooking Plymouth Sound, with over 800 acres of stunning landscape, Mount Edgcumbe boasts seven acres of formal gardens, 10 miles of coastline and more historic buildings and follies than you could want as background for your photographs. The House has three licensed rooms for civil ceremonies plus you can marry outdoors in the summerhouse overlooking the Earls garden. The orangery can hold up to 120 guests for your wedding breakfast and then be the venue for the evening reception. This truly a magical place to say “I do”.
Orestone Manor Hotel
The Orestone Manor Hotel is a lovely boutique hotel with first class facilities and staff set in a wonderful position overlooking the sea with great views and plenty of photo opportunities. Licensed to hold your wedding or civil ceremony service, the function room holds around 90 seated and 120 for an evening reception. A really nice venue which can be exclusively hired. Palace Hotel, Paignton
The Palace Hotel has a prime seafront location. The Palace certainly lives up to its name with a great reputation for service and attention to detail. Te venue holds a civil wedding licence, so your wedding can all be in one place. Really nice décor and fab sea views the beach is just a short stroll away across Paignton green, where many couples have their photos taken on the beach.
Passage House Hotel, Kingsteignton, Newton Abbot
The Passage House Hotel overlooks the Teign Estuary offering a stunning backdrop for that special Devon wedding. With its beautiful river setting, superb hotel facilities and excellent customer service, the Passage House has a reputation for being one of the most popular wedding venues in South Devon the Templar suite can hold up to 160 for an evening reception if you need more a marquee can be set up for you this will cater for 300 guests.
Polhawn Fort is set in a stunning location right on the coast. This historic Grade II listed Napoleonic Fort is one of ‘Palmerston’s Follies’ and dates back to the 1860s. Today it serves as a wildly romantic wedding venue and it holds a civil marriage licence. There is room on the lawn for a very large marquee with superb views. As a self-catering venue you can choose your own suppliers plus there are extra bedrooms on site. If you are looking for something very different – this is it!
Redcliffe Hotel, Paignton
The Redcliffe Hotel is a family-owned hotel right beside the sea with uninterrupted views of Torbay towards Berry Head from the excellent ballroom which has its own patio area. This is a stunning building in an Indian style and full of original features. The staff here are a really good team, well trained and serving excellent food certainly above its 3-star rating. The ballroom has an interesting sunken dance floor with seating all round decorated in a 1920s style. Very elegant and looks superb with uplighting.
Spanish Barn, Torre Abbey, Torquay
The Spanish barn at Torre Abbey, so named as it once held Spanish prisoners of war from the armada is a stunning location for your wedding, full of character and with Torre Abbey meadow and the beach just a short walk away ideal for the photos. You will need to hire the caterers and bar facilities but this makes a great blank canvas for you to tailor your wedding upon. They hold civil a ceremony licence.
The Grand Hotel, Torquay - Burns Night
The Grand Hotel is one of the most striking wedding venues in Torbay. The Grand is situated right on the seafront with stunning views. They hold a civil wedding license and the Devonshire room can accommodate up to 120 for your wedding breakfast and up to 250 for an evening reception or school prom etc. Food is always first rate and having performed at many events here, I can vouch that the service, food, and staff are all very good. The beach is but a short walk away and ideal for romantic photos. A great location for your wedding.
Two Bridges Dartmoor
The Two Bridges Hotel is a fine hotel set in wonderful Dartmoor scenery. The outside offers excellent photo opportunities by the river and the historic two bridges overlooking the moor. This is a really welcoming hotel with huge old fireplaces in the reception area and really comfortable seating – a very homely feel. Truly excellent staff makes any function here very special. The food is top class, as is the service. The venue is registered for the celebration of civil ceremonies performed in the Tors room accommodating up to 130 guests. In fine weather you can opt to hold the ceremony outside in the pagoda by the river. The main function room, the Fountain Room, was apparently designed by one of HRH Prince Charles’s architects. It is quite simply stunning. For evening shots there is a private outdoor area with an illuminated fountain.
St Elizabeth’s House Hotel

St Mellion International Resort
St Mellion International Resort is a very nice spacious venue rebuilt in the late ’90s at a cost of around £20m so as you can imagine it’s pretty swish. Nice decor, comfy seating and great views over the golf course and the beautiful surrounding countryside. The St Piran and St Mellion suites are large modern function rooms the venue is licensed to hold your wedding or civil ceremony service. There is a large balcony outside ideal for lazy summer days.
